Contact with people and the desire to understand and guide them have always been key components of my life. Turning these passions into a career was the first step for me.
I have travelled the globe thanks to my curiosity and inquisitiveness, my desire to learn new things, and my multi-faceted career – from working in five-star hotels at home and abroad, to holding specialist as well as leading positions in local and global businesses through to providing management consultancy services to multi-national corporations. I have experienced a wide range of different corporate cultures and types of social entities. I have learnt how to interact with all kinds of people, how to recognise their varied needs, and how to advise and guide them.
Over the years I have had to overcome a number of challenges, especially in my professional life. Yet, this active life has taught me a great deal. And I am proud of this. Over the years, I have come to two key realisations. Firstly: I have realised that I am a good generalist with broad expertise. University lecturers, superiors, those close to me, and, more recently, my clients have all told me I have an ability to identify the essentials without being overbearing. My intuition guides me and helps me to focus on the most meaningful aspects. Secondly: I am struck time and again by the potential that resides within every person, by the versatility and infinite flexibility that we carry within ourselves. Unlocking this flexibility, overcoming challenges, developing ourselves – it is all extremely exciting. I wanted to use my multi-faceted knowledge, my aptitude and my passion for people, this is what ultimately led me to coaching.
Drawing a perfect circle is considered to be one of the great challenges of calligraphy. It is said that the more the artists are in harmony with themselves, the rounder and more perfect the circle will be.
Today, my personal circle is perfect when I interact with someone who applies their talents with joy and ease. This accomplishment benefits the person’s environment and the result of this makes them deeply content and happy. If I have been able to help them with this process, then this makes me happy.
My life is complete thanks to my husband, our son and our dog.
I take inspiration from my daily environment, both professional and private. My home gives me the space to find peace, to gather new ideas and strength, and to constantly look at the world and life from different perspectives.
All in all, in my life I repeatedly see confirmation of how important, beneficial, and infinitely exciting it is to change perspectives and to give myself the opportunity to discover something new from these.
I hope that you, your employees and your teams can also share in this experience.
